Spanish and Foreign Language
Our current Spanish program with Kids Like Languages will be coming to an end January 31, 2018. Ms. Bernal and Ms. Sagalovsky have been wonderful additions to Holy Trinity and we wish them the best. Beginning February 1, 2018, Mrs. Nicki Ulrich (mother of 5th grader Joseph) will teach PreK through 4th grade Spanish. She's a trained teacher and fluent Spanish speaker. Spanish classes will be shorter, yet more frequent to help student's learn and retain their new skills.
Foreign Language in 5th through 8th grades will be using Rosetta Stone K12 Language Solutions. This is an online, student centered language learning program. Holy Trinity 5th-8th grade students will be able to choose from 24 languages!
We will host an information session with Mrs. Ulrich and Rosetta Stone materials soon. More information to come in the next weeks.
Our Spring Musical- Tarzan
Auditions for HT Drama Club's production of Tarzan will be Tuesday and Thursday, January 16th and 18th from 3:15-5:30 in the Fireside Room. Drama Club is open to students in 1st-8th grades. Find all the information and registration form HERE. Please contact Mrs. Jill Harris at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Welcome HT Student Teachers
We are happy to welcome three student teachers to Holy Trinity for our Winter and Spring trimesters! Student Teaching is an essential part of bachelor's and master's education programs, which provide authentic experiences in schools for teachers-to-be. (I am sure we all have some lovely student teaching stories! I took an embarrassing tumble right in front of the 4th grade class with Mrs. Lovett long ago.) Please welcome our student teachers as you see them around. Feel free to contact the supervising teacher if you have any questions.
Ms. Teresa Nguyen- Social Studies with Mr. Dalton
Mrs. Christina Queen- First Grade with Ms. Klobes
Ms. Aiqin Zhou- Middle School Math with Mrs. Dummer
We are thrilled to announce that we have a school counselor joining our faculty! Anne Coussens will be here every Thursday to work with students, groups and teachers. Anne earned her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and worked as a child and family therapist providing intensive community-based treatment services. She has also worked in a self-contained behavior classroom and as a school counselor at another Catholic elementary school. Welcome Anne!
Grandparent's Day 2018
Please mark your calendars and invite your grandparents and special friends to our Grandparent's Day, February 1, 2018! Grandparents and special friends are invited to Mass at 9am, a light breakfast and classroom fun. School will dismiss at noon with half day EC available. Sign up to volunteer on SchoolSpeak.
