Afternoon dismissal has averaged 9 minutes, beginning at 3:05pm and the school is pretty cleared out by 3:14pm. Dismissal is at 3:05pm and the car line will not start moving before then. Please plan according to your preferences. We are noticing two continuing issues that cause frustration- parents not using the crosswalk and cars lining up 10-15 minutes early. Our students are watching; please set a good example by using the crosswalks.
Accreditation is a process of ongoing school improvement. Our ultimate goal is the highest student achievement for our students, and we want to always be on the road to improvement. This is the year of our accreditation visit. A visiting committee of six will visit in October to validate who we are as community. The faculty and staff have spent many hours evaluating our programs through data collection and analysis. During this process we have identified our strengths and areas to focus on for professional development and resources over the next several years. Several copies of our final report are available in the school office for parents to check out for reading.

Class Newsletters and Grades
Each classroom prepares a newsletter monthly. You can find these posted on School Speak. There you'll read what your student is learning, plans of study, field trips, volunteer information and more.
Grades are published for 3rd through 8th grade via School Speak every other week.
We are excited for Chess Club to begin again with Mr. Truong! We have three trimester terms for Chess this year, so students can join as their sport and activity schedules allow. Chess is open to First through Eighth grades.
HT PTO News
Thank you! We'd like to take a second just to thank everyone that helped make our annual BTS Picnic a huge success! Thank you to the planning team, the parent volunteers and even our 8th grade students who helped set up all the tables and chairs outside. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus who produced more cotton candy and popcorn than we ever thought possible and to Martha, our amazing balloon arch extraordinaire!
PTO Meeting: Our Sept. PTO meeting is this Tuesday, Sept. 17th at 5:30 in the cafeteria. This month we will recap the BTS picnic and also look ahead to the Titan Run, Ghost o grams and classroom Halloween Parties. If you have any questions or ideas about upcoming events, would like to join a planning committee or just come and listen we would love to see you there!
