Covid-19 Vaccine

Now that the Covid vaccine is approved for children 5 and over, we wish to share some insight about how this affects school. 
  • HT will not require the Covid 19 vaccine for students at this time.
  • If the state requires the Covid-19 vaccine for students (like the DTaP, Polio, MMR, Hepatitis), HT will work with the Department of Catholic Schools to implement any guidelines.
  • If you chose for your student to receive the vaccine, the school does not need proof.
Having your child(ren) receive the Covid-19 vaccine is a family decision. We do encourage it for the safety of all of students and staff. A compelling reason to have your child(ren) receive the vaccine is that your child will NOT have to quarantine if exposed to a positive Covid case. 
  • Vaccinated students and staff do not have to quarantine if exposed to a positive Covid case; they need to watch for symptoms as they continue their normal schedule.
  • This means no 10 day quarantine from school or sports or other events. No missed school and learning!

CASE Training

We are hosting CASE training this week. This is a required class for all new volunteers. You only have to take this class one time. To ensure social distancing, we are capping each session at 50 people. Please RSVP here to sign up for the training.

CYO Tourney Volunteers Needed

This week is the final tournament of our CYO volleyball season! Go Titans!!! We are hosting several games this week. ​Our volleyball teams are playing all over the city and are not available to volunteer for all the shifts.  We are looking for someone to take money at the door on the following days/times:
  • Friday 11/19/21 7-8pm
  • Saturday 11/20 9-10:315am
  • Saturday 11/20/21 10:30-11:45am
  • Saturday 11/20/21 12-1:15pm
​This volunteer role is perfect for anyone already planning on attending, SharePoint hours and older teen siblings that need some volunteer time! Please contact Ashley Sheridan, [email protected], if you can help.

Weekly Covid Screening

This Thursday will be our testing day for students and families that opted in to the weekly Covid Screening through OHSU. Students were given multiple tests last week. If you need a test, please contact the school office.  Students should complete the saliva test BEFORE they eat or drink on Thursday morning. If you'd like to participate this week, please drop the completed test in the cooler outside the school office. Tests need to be dropped off by 9am for pick up.

Food Closet Donations Needed

The HT Food Closet is collecting donations and food items in preparation for Thanksgiving. You can participate by donating money or food ahead of Thanksgiving week. 
  • If you'd like to donate money for the purchase of gift cards, please donate online here or send check/cash to the parish office.
  • If you'd like to donate food items, please use this list of needed items:
    • Canned fruit, vegetables, meat, soup
    • Granola Bars
    • Small fruit cups
    • Juice
    • Coffee
    • Kleenex/facial tissue
    • Ketchup and Mustard
