No School on Friday

We applaud our staff members and students for their efforts to follow safety protocols — from social distancing to seat assignments to masking. Our low Covid-19 numbers are a testament to their commitment to mitigate the spread. Along with teaching and working during Covid, teachers and staff are substituting for each other, filling multiple roles and deftly supporting the social, emotional and intellectual needs of our students. As a thank you to our teachers and staff, we will not have school on Friday, November 12. Full day EC is available. Please email Matt Wulff, mwulff@htsch.org, if you'd like to reserve a spot in EC on Friday.

CASE Training

We are hosting CASE training next week. This is a required class for all new volunteers. You only have to take this class one time. To ensure social distancing, we are capping each session at 50 people. Please RSVP here to sign up for the training.

Math Fest at Central Catholic

Math Fest is on December 11th, 2021 from 9:00am to Noon at Central Catholic High School. This is a great opportunity for young mathletes in grades 7 or 8 to come together and have an awesome time competing in a variety of timed math challenges, led by faculty from the Math Department and Math Club student leaders. Winners of these math challenges will receive prizes such as special Central Catholic Math Club T-Shirts, math socks, Central Catholic sweatshirts, and two individual winners of our contest will each receive a $500 scholarship to Central Catholic. Safe Environment Training

Next Sunday, November 14th, the Parish will be offering two sessions of Called to Protect for Parents & Families. This is not the required training for adult volunteers; rather, this is an opportunity for parents and adult family members to learn what to watch for to keep your children safe, how to act on inappropriate activity, and how you can teach your children to be safe. These sessions will take place in the Fireside Room from 10:30-12:00pm (during our K–5 Religious Ed. classes) and from 12:30-2:00pm (during Youth Ministry). There is no sign-up or registration required. If you have any questions, please contact Erica Wills at parish@h-t.org.

Weekly Covid Screening

This FRIDAY will be our testing day for students and families that opted in to the weekly Covid Screening through OHSU. Students will come home with an information packet, including how-to test and the test kit. Students should complete the saliva test BEFORE they eat or drink on FRIDAY morning. If you'd like to participate this week, please drop the completed test in the cooler outside the school office. Tests need to be dropped off by 9am for pick up.
