Welcome Back Mrs. Dummer!
Mrs. Sarah Dummer, our Middle School Math teacher, returns today from her maternity leave! Mr. and Mrs. Dummer welcomed baby Henry to the family this summer. We are so excited to have Mrs. Dummer back!
Now that the Covid vaccine is approved for children 5 and over, we wish to share some insight about how this affects school.

Staffing Update: Math
We are sad to share that Mr. Bruce Truong (Mr. T) will be leaving HT. His last day will be Friday, December 3rd. Mr. T is leaving the field of education for other pursuits. He is so wonderful, and we will miss him greatly. Joyously, God has provided two fantastic Math teachers that can take Mr. T's place. Mr. Nick Krautscheid (Mr. K) and Mrs. Christy Semke (Middle School Math Long-term Sub) will take over 4th, 5th and 6th grade Math classes beginning December 6th as Trimester 2 begins. More information will come for 4th, 5th and 6th grade families to introduce our new teachers.
Left to Right: Mr. Krautscheid, Mrs. Semke and Mr. Truong
Weekly Covid Screening
This Tuesday will be our testing day for students and families that opted in to the weekly Covid Screening through OHSU. If you need a test, please contact the school office. Students should complete the saliva test BEFORE they eat or drink on Tuesday morning. Tests need to be dropped off by 9am for pick up.
The Book Fair will run November 30- December 7th. You can shop after school or online at the HT Scholastic Book Fair site.
Food Closet Donations Needed
The HT Food Closet is collecting donations and food items in preparation for Thanksgiving. You can participate by donating money or food ahead of Thanksgiving week.
