VIRTUE: Courtesy
The virtue of this week is courtesy.  This is a virtue that we ask of our students every day.  We see this from the moment the front doors open and the chorus of “good morning” greetings begins.  We see it in the halls, classrooms, playground, and cafeteria.  We ask students to extend this virtue out into the community as representatives of Holy Trinity School. Thank you for supporting our students in this virtue.​​

How to support students with trimester grades:

Later this week report cards will be available online for review.  Last week in the Monday Minute I wrote that trimester grades “show what students know and are able to demonstrate on the learning targets taught that term.  Trimester report card marks are a formal snapshot of a learner’s progress at a moment in time.”  As you review grades with students here a few questions to consider using:

1. Which grades are you proud of this term?  How did you achieve those marks?
2. Are there grades you would like to improve in the third trimester? Do you have ideas or plans to improve these grades? 
   
3. How can I help you next term?

Collaboration Time on Wednesday

Last week staff used the collaboration time Wednesday morning to continue the refresh of the TITAN acronym.  This week teachers meet in grade group meetings to discuss student academic progress and any individual support needed.

Next year’s families:

• Tomorrow, March 19th, a message about tuition will go out, watch for an email.
• The 2024-25 school year registration fee will be added to your Alma accounts this week.  Thank you for your prompt attention. 
• We still have room in classes for next year and especially PreK, 1st, and 2nd.  If you know families who are interested please have them contact the office.

Congratulations to Johaan Akkara for his first place award in the Hillsboro Reads Arts Contest conducted by Hillsboro Public Library.

The Passion Play performed by the 8th graders was a beautiful gift to the school.  Thank you 8th grade!!

Titan Run moved to May 10th
Let’s get ready to go!

The date for the annual fundraiser- Titan Run was moved to May 10, 2024.  In April we will share plans for this year’s event.  This is the major fundraiser for our school and provides essential funds for programs and tuition assistance. The change in date means two calendar changes:

CYO News

CYO—Holy Trinity had a successful basketball season.  Thank you to the coaches for all they did to support our student athletes.  Special thanks to the CYO board and our Athletic Director Cortney Driessen.  ​

Congratulations to our 8th grade boys team, they finished third in the Stars division tournament.

Our 7th grade team placed 7th in the City League Tournament last weekend.

PTO meeting March 20th at 7:00 pm at Holy Trinity.  Come here about plans for the rest of the year.  Class with the highest participation in the PTO meeting gets free dress for a day. ​

Music at Midweek - Wednesday 9-9:15am

We are grateful for the handful of volunteers who join us each week for recess duty and the room parents who organize events for each class. If you are interested in joining us as a volunteer contact the office or sign up HERE.
