21-22 Staff List
We are eager to welcome back our fabulous teachers and welcome our new teachers and staff. Here is our 2021-2022 Faculty and Staff list.
New Band Director
Band starts next week! We are excited to have Dan Schauffler as our Band Director this year. He also leads Valley Catholic High School's jazz, pep and concert bands. Mr. Schauffler is also a member of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.
Due to recent changes with Covid-19 (Delta), we are moving lunches outside for the month of September. Students will sit on the black top or grass to eat with their class and lunch supervisors. This ensures that students keep distance while eating, while maintaining the playground area. Students are encouraged to bring a towel or picnic blanket, hat, sunglasses if they like. More information will come from home room teachers. If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Sheridan email@example.com.
Back to School Events
We hope to celebrate our new school year with parents and families in safe and fun ways. For now, we are going to push pause on a Back to School Picnic and Donuts with Mrs. Sheridan as we start school and evaluate the health of our community. We will bring them back as soon as possible!
PE Uniform Update
Due to current virus concerns, 5th through 8th graders will NOT change for PE for the first trimester. Students will do PE in their school uniforms.
HT is excited to partner with Northwest Children's Theater to bring Drama Club back. Drama Club is available after school for students in grades 4-8. Our Fall production is Annie's Hard Knock Life! Check the flyer for more information.
21-22 volunteer requirements are published here. We look forward to having you on campus!
Please read and complete the Google form provided.
Please follow the instructions listed on the attachment to access your account in Praesidium Academy (previously Armatus). You will need to also complete the online training "It Happened to Me" to be eligible to volunteer. You do not need to fill out the Google form linked above.
Catholic schools will be practicing many mitigating protocols to help stop the spread of the new Delta variant and to keep our communities healthy. Our priority is to serve students safely in our classrooms and to keep students, faculty, and staff healthy. One tool to stop the spread of COVID-19 is vaccination. Now that the Pfizer vaccine is fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the State of Oregon is requiring all school staff and volunteers, including private school staff and volunteers, to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 18 (see rule HERE). Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Portland will comply with the vaccine mandated by OHA 333- 019-1030. If you plan to volunteer in the classroom, at lunch or recess, with CYO or in other ways, we will require that you submit a copy of your vaccination card for our records.
If you have questions, please contact Ashley Sheridan firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our hot lunch provider this year will be Dishes2u- a new company that will partner with local restaurants to deliver lunch to our students. We expect hot lunch to be ready for October. Please pack healthy snacks and lunch for your students until we get our system running.
HTCS Family Handbook
Our 2021-2022 Family Handbook is ready. We tried to cover all possible questions and concerns in this year's update. Please review these important documents with your child(ren). If you have questions, contact Ashley Sheridan.
