We are focussing on the virtue of meekness this week which is often confused with weakness or appeasement. Truly living out this virtue demands incredible strength and confidence. It demands serenity of spirit while focusing on the needs of others (Open Light Media). At school we will encourage students to think about staying calm and taking a pause if they find themselves in a moment of anger or discord. Here is a prayer to consider using as you help students reflect on this week’s virtue: Dear Jesus, please be King of my heart, especially when I am frustrated or angry. In those moments give me the grace to use all my emotions for the good (Open Light Media).
Principal's Message.... WOW!!!What a spectacular week. Many of our second graders received their second holy communion during a mass hosted by 7th grade. On Friday, Holy Trinity hosted a middle school dance that included our friends from St. John Fisher and St. Cecilia. The weather turned nice and even hot by Friday.
And then there was Titan Run. Our success is such a great lesson for our students, and really all of us. When you set a goal, work together, strive to achieve it–you can!! We are in the time of a school year when the pace can get away from us–if we let it. Monday morning two 8th graders came into school together. Some asked “how many days left?”. Their responses: not enough, too many. I couldn’t agree more. Let’s strive to make the most of each day and celebrate our time together. Download Middle School Dance Photos Here
Titan RunRemember to turn in any envelopes this week. We will hold an assembly next week to announce most laps winners and students all who attended the Titan Run will get to take part in the prize raffles. We will continue to award prizes based on fundraising as well.

End of School PicnicLet’s kick-off the summer with a fun school community event! Upon early dismissal June 14th, head out to the playground area with your kid(s). We’ll have a delicious Taco Bar, music, a photo area, inflatable Axe Throwing and Baseball Throwing, and fun carnival games with PRIZES. In addition, Handel’s Ice Cream will be onsite to serve your favorite flavors for purchase. Handel’s will donate a percentage of the proceeds back to the school! To keep this event fun and safe, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please sign-up here to volunteer. Children attending must have a parent/guardian present. We look forward to seeing you for one last school hurrah!

Gratitudes! There are so many offerings of gratitude we have from last week. We can’t possibly mention everyone so apologies in advance if we miss any.
For teacher appreciation week -
Shout out to the middle school dance committee for a wonderful dance. The decorations were stellar. To the parents who helped set up, chaperone, and clean up. PTO NewsPTO meeting is Wednesday, May 15th @ 7:00 pm. Class with the highest percentage attendance wins free dress.
When you signed up for Holy Trinity, you agreed to volunteer 20 hours at the school in some capacity throughout the school year or to donate $20 per hour either through class parties donations or buying classroom supplies, etc. More information on the SharePoint requirement can be found in the handbook here. Now that we are at the end of the school year, your family has not logged any of the 20 hours. Therefore, the $20 per hour is due for each of those hours. There are various opportunities available for end of year school picnic, We will certainly need help with the 8th grade graduation and other end of the year planned activities. If you have trouble finding volunteer activities, please reach out to myself or Monica ([email protected]). CYO - Meet of Champions for Track & FieldCongratulations to our road runners... they endured some hot weather last week at Liberty HS. However, they were successful in setting 22 personal records! Way to go 3rd & 4th grade athletes.
Come to cheer on Holy Trinity cub and cadet athletes this weekend at Jesuit High School for the CYO Meet of Champions. (Schedule). Couple notes: 1) Parking is very limited. Please plan to park and WALK. 2) As with all CYO championship seasons, there is a $5 gate fee ($1 for non-athlete kids). |
