8th Grade Yoghurt Finalists!
Help us decide on the top three yoghurt brands that 8th graders created as part of their yoghurt engineering project! They were given the (FICTIONAL) scenario of the school wanting to provide a healthy and delicious yoghurt recipe and brand to be provided as part of a breakfast option during morning EC. They put a lot of hard work into developing, making, and testing their yoghurt recipes before designing an advertisement, an eye-catching label and calculating an accurate nutrition table. The 6th and 7th graders helped vote on all 52 eighth grade projects and narrowed it down to the top five designs you'll see below. Voting is open until 3pm on Friday the 4th of December. You can share the Monday Minute with family and friends as well, but each person/email address may only vote once. Here is the link to vote!
PTO: Dinner Night Out
During this busy holiday season enjoy someone else's cooking, support local business, and raise funds to benefit HT school events. Funds raised benefit students and staff activities, like holiday classroom events, teacher appreciation efforts, and more. We have two upcoming Dinner Night Out Events coming in December and will have more planned in the future. You can order online or pick-up in-person for take-out. Some places might be offering dine in options depending on county COVID status.
Washington County Metrics
You can track Washington County metrics here. To open Kinder through 6th Grade fully, we need 50 or fewer cases per 100,000 for 14 days. To open 7th-8th grades, elementary schools need to demonstrate the ability to limit transmission in the school environment.
School Mass Links
Please join us for school Mass on Wednesday, December 2nd at 2:15pm. 8th Grade will host this Mass!
*Please note, next week's Mass is moved to Tuesday (12/8) for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.*
Disinfecting Wipes Drive
PTO is collecting all brands of disinfecting wipes for the school. As you probably know, wipes are hard to find right now and they go fast! The wipes DO NOT have to be name brand. As long as they are disinfecting, we will take them!
Family Service Opportunity
HT parent, Charmin Shiely, is working with Sacred Heart Parish in Medford, Oregon to bring Christmas to families that lost their home in the wildfires. There are 300 families who lost everything, so this is a great opportunity to send Christmas hope and love. If you are interested in adopting a family, please email Charmin, by this Friday 12/4, at CShiely@schwabe.com for more information.
Learning Options at HT
Our Governor's initial Washington County's Two Week Freeze is coming to an end this Wednesday and moving to the Risk and Protection Framework. We will continue to hold our current programs at Limited In Person Learning, scheduled child care and Comprehensive Digital Learning.
