It's a free dress day! For students that wear uniforms, free dress is a big deal. On this Friday, students can wear clothing of their own, that aligns with our dress code, if they bring two cans or boxes of food. Please try not to bring glass items.
Hot Lunch is coming!Hot Lunch is back!!! Our first day of service is September 29th. Ordering info will be sent to parents soon. We will need parent volunteers to help hand out hot lunch orders. Please let Ms. Spieler know if you'd like to volunteer. (see volunteer requirements posted in this newsletter)

Back to School EventsWe hope to celebrate our new school year with parents and families in safe and fun ways. For now, we are going to push pause on a Back to School Picnic and Donuts with Mrs. Sheridan as we start school and evaluate the health of our community. We will bring them back as soon as possible!
Pack 598 NewsDid someone say Pizza Party!?!
Pack 598 is recruiting boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. If you are interested in Scouting, please join us in the cafeteria for pizza and fun on Thursday, September 16th at 6:30 PM to learn more. Last year our scouts had the opportunity to go camping, ride horses, learn archery and BB guns, go panning for gold, race Pinewood Derby cars that they made and much more. Beginning BandBeginning Band starts next Tuesday, September 14! Beginning Band is an after school activity on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15-4:15pm. Mr. Schauffler welcomes any interested 3rd through 8th graders.

NEW VOLUNTEERS: Please read and complete the Google form provided. RETURNING VOLUNTEERS: Please follow the instructions listed on the attachment to access your account in Praesidium Academy (previously Armatus). You will need to also complete the online training "It Happened to Me" to be eligible to volunteer. You do not need to fill out the Google form linked above. Vaccination RequirementCatholic schools will be practicing many mitigating protocols to help stop the spread of the new Delta variant and to keep our communities healthy. Our priority is to serve students safely in our classrooms and to keep students, faculty, and staff healthy. One tool to stop the spread of COVID-19 is vaccination. Now that the Pfizer vaccine is fully approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the State of Oregon is requiring all school staff and volunteers, including private school staff and volunteers, to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 18 (see rule HERE). Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Portland will comply with the vaccine mandated by OHA 333- 019-1030. If you plan to volunteer in the classroom, at lunch or recess, with CYO or in other ways, we will require that you submit a copy of your vaccination card for our records.
