SnowBall, the MS Dance

Our first three school Middle School Dance was a great success on Friday! A huge thank you to our 8th grade Decorating Committee and all the parents who transformed our gym. A special thank you to Patrick Gaston for designing and spearheading the transformation. We hosted 195 kids for two hours of dancing, snacking and fun. Next, our students get to attend dances at the other two schools!

7th Grade Roman Hall of Fame

Our 7th Grade historians recently finished presenting their impressive Roman Cultural Hall of Fame projects!  In doing so, they chose an aspect of Roman culture and argued that it deserves consideration for a prospective Roman Cultural Hall of Fame.  To do so, they needed to prove that it met three important class-generated criteria:
      -
The nominee must be original or unique at its time.
      - The nominee must create a significant change or impact in its society and be recognized for that.
      - The nominee’s impact must go beyond its time and carry over for future generations.
All students were responsible for the creation of a Google Slides presentation introducing their nominee.  From there, they had some freedom in choosing how to demonstrate that it fit the criteria.  Follow the links to see their work!  You’ll probably learn something new!
Click here to view an index of their projects!

Usborne Books

Families can purchase books through Usborne and give back to HT. Browse the full selection of books online here. (Any orders placed through this link will help earn 50% back in free book rewards for the school as well, as soon as it hits a minimum of $250 in sales).

Virtue of the Week- Magnanimity

This week our students are studying the virtue of Magnanimity. Magnanimity is seeking with confidence to do great things in God; literally "having a large soul". The opposite of magnanimity is to doing things for self-promotion or working against the good. We can cultivate magnanimity by:
  • Complimenting others on doing a great job
  • Allowing others to receive the praise and credit they deserve
  • Acknowledging the good in others when it is difficult
  • Striving to do difficult tasks with God's grace
Check in with your child! How do they demonstrate the virtue of Magnanimity?

HT's First Chess Tournament

We are excited to announce that Holy Trinity is hosting our first chess tournament on Saturday, December 17th! You do not have to be in the chess club to enter and all are welcome to come watch! We will be looking for volunteers to help with setup, clean-up, concessions, raffle prizes, collecting money, and more! For all details, please see this flyer.
Volunteer: Sign up here!
Contact Larry Ball, the chess coach at larryball48@yahoo.com if your child is interested in participating or if you have any questions!

Mother & Son Night

Picture
Mark your calendars for Friday, January 20th! You'll be treated to a MAGICAL night of top-notch talent. You won't want to miss the magician & illusionist that we have booked and has appeared on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT. More details to follow. Doors open @ 6 PM with the show happening between 6:30-8 PM. Light snacks will be provided by the PTO. Please eat dinner prior to arrival.

Hot Lunch Changes

We cancelled our Hot Lunch service with Fresh N Local catering. Ordering and interest was much lower than needed for a success program. We are looking into new lunch options now and over the break. All December orders will be filled. There is no ordering for January at this time.
